Product Description

AnodeKing Compact embedded galvanic anodes are used in concrete rehabilitation to prevent the formation of new corrosion sites adjacent to completed patch repairs. AnodaKing Compact anodes consist of a sacrificial zinc core that is activated by the surrounding specially formulated cementitious mortar.

Usage

• Apartment and Condominium Balcony Repair
• Concrete column and beam repair
• Bridge deck corrosion
• Protecting garage decks, columns and beams
• Piers and wharfs in marine enviroment
• Prestressed concrete corrosion
• Post-tensioning anchor protection

Advantages

• Proven technology.

• Provides localized corrosion and focused full protection.

• Low cost method of providing galvanic corrosion prevention to extend the iniation of reinforcement corrosion around patch repairs.

• Effective in chloride-contaminated and carbonated concrete containing chlorides. Can be used for both conventionally reinforced and prestressed or post-tensioned concrete.

• Can be installed up to 2x faster than the traditional two wire connection.

• Low maintenance ( requires no external power source or system monitoring.)

Application Methodologhy

• Remove damaged concrete and clean steel as per standard ICRI repair methods.

• Ensure exposed reinforcing steel is securely fastaned with tie wire to provide good electrical contiunity.

• Attach AnodeKing Anodes to clean steel at an even spacing within the repair area.Place the anode as close as possible to the interface between the repair and the parent concrete ( Within 4 inches (100mm) while still allowing the repair material to encase anode.

• AnodeKing anodes are to be installed per the design drawings and specifications along the perimeter of the repair area after all chloride contaminated concrete has been removed.Additionaly,if any chloride contaminated concrete remains within or below the repair area and is in contact with any layer of reinforcing steel then it may be necessary to place AnodeKing anodes in a grid pattern within the interior of the repair area.

• Test electrical continuity of the reinforcing steel before installation and repair as necessary.Test electrical continuity of anode connection to reinforcing steel after installation.A DC voltage measurment of ≤ 1mV confirms good continuity.

• Pour back repair area with compatible repair material as per project specifications.
